Seriously they should teach this in schools. Why are they not teaching this in schools! I checked out a book from the library today, it is a two week book meaning it is fairly new! I got in the car with justin and opened the book up excited to begin a literary adventure and was shocked to see that the person before me had littered the margins with their scribbles and notes.
SERIOUSLY?
Library books do not BELONG TO YOU, so TAKE CARE OF THEM! Don't write in the margins, don't leave them in your car, don't dog ear the pages! If you want to do these things to a book BUY IT! Don't trash a copy that not only doesn't belong to you but that has to go back on a shelf and be enjoyed by several other people.
If I had to count the number of times a book has come to me with the corners missing I would lose count immediately. Dog-earing pages is HORRIBLE for books. How hard is it to find a scrap of paper to use as a book mark!
I am not even going to bitch about writing in library books, because if you do this you don't deserve to have a library card in the first place.

I am anal about stuff like this because I know what it is like COUNTLESS TIMES to go to the library and not be able to check out a book because it has been worn through before its time. Not only that but it leads me to think about how well these people care for their own possessions. I try and treat other peoples possessions with great respect even if they don't because I would be upset if something was returned to me in worse condition than when I parted with it. Now I know books get read, and I know what normal wear and tear looks like but when a book lives in someone's purse or has gotten wet, or stepped on, or been allowed in the hands of a child I get a tad pissed. That is my possession that I work hard to keep nice, WHY THE HELL would you think it is alright to treat it as you do your own???
Sorry, that was a tangent. I just can't see how people think like this!
Now excuse me, I have to go ERASE the rantings of an idiot high school student from my book before I read it.

I don't know what it is about Western Washington that makes me so happy. Maybe it is the green, maybe it is the smell of the ocean, I don't know. We have been in town for less than five hours and Justin and I are having a way better time relationship wise. I think it is part the place and part the fact that we finally got away. It feels so nice and relaxed. Everyone is out getting dessert, I was in the tub reading the last Harry Potter book.
If Justin and I move, It will be here. (we are thinking about Lynnwood)
Who knows! It defiantly will not happen for several years, but here is very VERY nice.

It honestly depends on how sick I am. There have been a few times where I was not getting out of bed, even if they were giving away free cash down the street. Most of the time though I tough it out. My mother never let us call in sick to school unless we were physically dying. So that is instilled in my way of thinking.

The livejournal strike is Lame. Seriously, If the users of this site are upset about what the owners of the business are deciding to do with THEIR COMPANY than maybe they should just go somewhere else to blog. It is a brilliant business move to eliminate the basic account.
I do not agree with the censorship issues but I can see why they changed it for now. If you typed in Porn, Bondage, Or something else like that into a search engine Live Journal Popped up. The site mods are probably trying to find a way to stop that from happening and have censored the interests list for the safety of the users. If not than it is still upsetting that they have censored that list but there really is nothing that you can do about it. Maybe the smartest thing for livejournal to do is to just eliminate that feature all together. After all, they are just numbers, who really cares how many people are interested in coffee.
About now having to pay for an ad free blog? If you are serious about the words you put on the internet you should do it from a respectable PAID site. Livejournal (for me) has always been recreational. I love it because I get to talk to my friends and know what they are up to. If I was out to change the world the intelligent first coarse of action is not to Post it on a blog.
If you don't like what the site is doing with its business...Leave
If you want to throw a tizzy about something, Pick something that is ACTUALLY and issue. Like AIDS in Africa, Or the homeless population in your city the course of action is not to bitch on a blog. Get off your ass and go DO something about it.
